This course provides a clear description of the critical technology and equipment that professional interpreters need to buy, understand and work with to perform successfully as a remote interpreter.
The Technology You Need to Know for Remote Interpreting
Course description: This course breaks down the technology, software and platforms used in remote interpreting in simple, clear, easy-to-follow language. It’s your personal introduction as an interpreter to the “tech” side of the field and its platforms. You’ll understand how this technology has evolved and how to communicate to others about it. You’ll respond better to the needs of language services who want to work with you. And you’ll look—and sound—more professional when you speak about the field. Finally, you’ll consider the technology you need to have or buy yourself—in other words, the tech and equipment you need to work effectively as a remote interpreter—including computer, headset, webcam and more!
Note: In CCC courses, “remote interpreting” and “distance interpreting” are considered synonyms.
