Learning Objectives:
Define addiction and differentiate between addiction and physical dependence.
Describe the key types of substance use disorder treatment, including medically based treatment, counseling and harm reduction strategies.
Accurately interpret common terms and utterances frequently used in communications around substance use diagnosis and treatment in medical and social service settings.
